A New Chapter: Don't Cry for me, dear Sims!

I am back for now.

My in-tray is overflowing with your simPeals and simPetitions.

Let's give our city another go!

We can do it!

Even as I type this, my door is open to you, dear Sims, come on in. Tell me all about your simIssues.

When I am fully updated, I will be back!

Day 10 SimCity. I will be back.

Beloved Sims,

I have been called away on urgent business to a land far, far away.

You have not been forgotten. My mayor-ly duties weigh heavily on my mind even as I wolf down the Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts readily available here.

I will be back, beloved cities.

With a week of reflection and deep thought, I vow to make our cities cleaner, safer and more prosperous!

Even though there are haters out in the cruel simworld, complaining of anti-pirate measures and congested internet lines, I will be back to be your mayor.

Three more days to go.

I will be back.

Day 7 SimCity. Radiation!

I have spent hundreds of thousands on simoleons on trees and trees and more trees.

Only time will tell if this is enough to stop the damage my nuclear meltdown has caused.

Day 6 SimCity. Locked out my city.

I am unable to perform my mayor-ly duties lately.

I just hope my poor Sims have recovered from:

1. The nuclear meltdown
2. Sewage overrun
3. Tornado disaster

Don't cry for me, dear Sims.

Day 4.3 SimCity. Vote Me for Mayor.

I have put in my interest to be Mayor of two other towns.

Both are neighbours, and I have grand plans for both!

One shall be the answer to our housing woes! More residential zones, beautiful parks and wonderful mass transport systems to feed into our city.

The other shall be the cesspool of our fair city! All our garbage and sewage will in someone else's backyard from now on.

Vote ME for Mayor!

Day 4.2 SimCity. Social needs.

I was wrong.

To bring our fair city to the next millennium, we need friends and allies.

Instead of wallowing in the dark ages, as Mayor, I will be the change we need!!

Trade routes, tourist connections, augmented water and electricity supplies, shared SEWAGE treatment!

Yes we CAN!

Day 4.1 SimCity. Deserted Island.

I remember the glory days when I could be your Mayor on a deserted island.

No other towns around as far as your eyes could see.

We would go about our Sim-ing ways, deal with our SimCity alone and without influence from anyone or anything.

But now.

My existence is tied to "The Internet" and the mercy of "The Server".

I will try to break out of this nightmare, and be the Mayor you deserve.

Day 4 SimCity. Disconnected from my city.

If there's one glaring blight on this beautiful city.

That will be, I am unable to connect to SimCity without an internet connection.

Bah.

EA, you are dead to me.

Day 3 SimCity. Germcity.

Population 65,000
Whole city is sick.

There's nothing I can do.

I've built a hospital and equipped it with three "wellness clinics".

I've plopped even more clinics and put in maximum ambulance bays.

Will need to do more research on this.

Good night, dear Sims, sleep tight.

Day 2.3 SimCity. Nightmares.

I woke up in a cold sweat.

Perhaps this city might never live up to your expectations.

But what can this Mayor do?

Let's start with these three:

1. Terra-forming

The rolling hills and beautiful cliffs might make for a scenic backdrop. But for a bustling city worthy of SimCity, I need to be able to FLATTEN those things.

Give your Mayor the power of TERRA-FORM!

2. Bull-doze bugs

Strangely, patches of our city are immune to the mighty bulldozer from the sky. No matter what I do, even after filling the endless paperwork for rezone.

Leftover buildings, abandoned and lonely. Never in use, yet an eyesore to all Sims!

Give your Mayor the power to BULL-DOZE BUGGY LOTS!

3. Mass Transport - No subways!

In this modern age, what modes of transport are available to the common Sim?

Cars, buses, trains, air-planes.

But not subways. The life-line of all successful SimCities.

Give your Mayor the power to build SUBWAYS!

Day 2.2 SimCity. Naming our City.

1. Dystopia
2. Utopia
3. Heart of Gold
4. Milliways
5. Narnia
6. Haven
7. Univille
8. Sunny Philadelphia

Vote now!

Day 2.1 SimCity. Dreamzone.

Not at the Mayor's office now, need to rest up for tomorrow's challenges.

My mansion is sparse. The protesters outside are driving me crazy.

I've built them clinics! Many clinics!

Thrown in a few emergency rooms.

Finally found enough simoleans in the budget for a hospital.

They are still protesting.

Also, I have been given the honour of renaming our fair city.

Decisions, decisions.

Day 2 Simcity. Population: 30,000. Citizens: Happy. Ministry of Health: Battling germs.

Zombie attacks : 2

Monday, March 4, 2013

Day 1 SimCity. Population : 0

Stuck in Mayor school for a while.

New City is not too far away.

Learning how to:

Zone (RSI)

Provide citizens with water and electricity

Deal with garbage and sewage

Build Police and Fire stations
